The Villages are located on Unity Health System's Park Ridge Health Care Campus at 1471 Long Pond Road in Greece, New York. Rochester and the nearby Finger Lakes Region offer an abundance of culture, convenience, beauty, entertainment, and charm.

Hospital
HealthGrades recently recognized Unity Hospital for being in the top five percent of hospitals in the nation for clinical quality, and it’s right next door. The well-respected Unity Hospital has a full-service emergency room and quick care service, inpatient and outpatient hospital care and surgery, women's health services, behavioral health and psychiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation, laboratory services, and many other health care services.

Shopping
The Villages are right down the road from the Mall at Greece Ridge Center, one of the Rochester area’s largest malls.

Grocery
Rochester and the surrounding suburbs boast two of the most progressive grocery stores in the United States, Wegmans and Tops. Visitors to the area often make a special point of shopping at these stores for their unique atmospheres and food presentations.

Banking
The Rochester area has a variety of banking and financial institutions, providing complete financial services, 24-hour customer service, telephone, and online banking.

Dry Cleaning, Postal Services, etc.
Services are located throughout the city and suburbs, so that convenience is never an issue.

Only a mile and a half away from The Villages.

Airport
The Greater Rochester International Airport is world class in both comfort and convenience, and one of the few airports in the world where parking is free when you are in and out in a half hour! It is a quick, 10-15 minute ride from The Villages.

Local Points of Interest
Downtown Rochester
Downtown Rochester is developing its cultural districts with an eye to the future. Facilities for the Red Wings baseball team, the Raging Rhinos soccer team, the Rochester Americans hockey team and lacrosse's Knighthawks are all helping to keep downtown vital.

Parks
Local parks in this area, many glacially formed or influenced, are unmatched for unique beauty and grandeur. The famed Highland Park, designed by Fredrick Law Olmsted, is known for an extensive collection of lilac varieties, rare trees, and shrubs, and the magnificent annual Lilac Festival.

Letchworth State Park, known as the Grand Canyon of the East, is about an hour's drive from Rochester. Letchworth State Park's 17 spectacular miles of deep canyon cut by the Genesee River, interrupted by three spectacular water falls, is excellent for geologists, historians or simply for picnics, hiking and camping.

Lakes
Experience the beaches of Lake Ontario, with the deep harbors of the Genesee River, large enough to host tall ships at summer harbor festivals and sailing regattas. Or, enjoy the more serene European feel of the Finger Lakes with grape vineyards and fruit orchards on rolling hillsides down to water's edge. Upstate New York is unparalleled in water and shoreside activity, both summer and winter.

Theaters
Rochester has the cultural events of a large city with small community convenience. In magnificent grandeur, the Eastman Theater is home to a full season of performances by the renowned Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, in addition to operas, and visiting artists of the stature of Pavarotti, who graced the stage of the Blue Cross Arena.

Museums
Rochester's museums are unique and offer rare museum experiences. The George Eastman House International Museum of Photography and Film, the Strong Museum, the Rochester Museum and Science Center and the Strasenburgh Planetarium provide hours of interactive, hands-on entertainment for every age.

The George Eastman House International Museum of Photography and Film has a world class photograph archive, which is available for tours. The archive is housed in the renovated mansion of George Eastman, founder of the Eastman Kodak Company.

The Strong Museum offers fun and entertainment, as children and adults alike learn about the past through hands-on exhibits, interactive learning environments, creative educational programs, and special events. The museum has many collections including school girl art, housewares, antique toys and games, advertising materials, antique clothing collections and holiday artifacts. A great place to bring your grandchildren!

Canal and River Boat Rides
Miles of the historic Erie Canal and Genesee River provide hours of leisurely river and canal boat tours, as boats drift past quaint canal villages or historic areas along the Genesee. These tours are also an excellent relaxing means of viewing fall foliage.

Fine Dining
Rochester offers an exceptional variety of excellent restaurants and eateries, with an equally large choice of atmospheres and price ranges. Rochester has excellent Indian, Asian, European, Mediterranean, Italian and other ethnic cuisine, as well as outstanding grills and vegetarian restaurants.

Golf and Tennis
The Rochester area and suburbs have superb golf courses that are known for hosting the Ryder Cup, PGA, and LPGA. Many city parks have public golf courses, as well as indoor and outdoor tennis facilities for year-round play.
